Swachh Sanatan Project

Our Swachh Sanatan Mission is inspired by Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the national campaign by the Government of India, covering 4041 statutory towns to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country. This campaign was officially launched on 2 October 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself cleaned the road. It was a remembrance to Mahatma Gandhi's mission "Clean India" where people work hand in hand to make the country clean. He gave a message to the nation through his efforts to educate people around him about cleanliness.

Under India's biggest ever cleanliness drive, the students and teachers at DPS,Bokaro participated wholeheartedly to make the mission successful. Carrying forward this movement through Swachh Sanatan Mission DPS, Bokaro has undertaken programmes to inculcate good and clean habits among our students and society so that they all work together for a cleaner and safer India. Our mission is purification of soul and the surroundings to make our country the best place to live.

In the quest to make a 'Swachh Bharat' (clean India), the students, teachers along with the administrative staffs of Delhi Public School, Bokaro conducted the cleanliness drive in and around the school premises . Each class was allotted different areas of the school campus where dusting, cleaning and sweeping was done. The students showed an extraordinary level of zeal and enthusiasm. They not only resolved to clean the school but also pledged to restore the greenery and beauty of the environment. They exhibited that the youth is ready to shoulder the responsibility of keeping its nation clean.

Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan, Director and Principal, DPS, Bokaro in her message conveyed that the Dipsites have responded whole heartedly in promoting the values of cleanliness health, hygiene, respect and responsibility. The school is committed in making concerted efforts to promote awareness about sanitation because we also believe that the students deserve good sanitary practices such as clean school toilets, clean surroundings, and information on hygiene to realize their potential.
